How ungrateful are we?
I woke up early in the morning to go for a walk and the first person I met outside my home was the newspaper vendor. The uncle next door was fighting with him for not delivering the paper on time. The next such thing I saw was my mother arguing with the maid for taking so many ungranted leaves. There was a sudden realisation which hit me that How ungrateful are we? We see people around us doing things for living like washing clothes, collecting garbage and many more. We consider these works to be small but we shouldn’t forget that we need them. We must remember that paying them is not equal to being grateful because money can’t buy everything. Our mind is never at peace, we grieve about everything. Things are coming and going and we don’t value a service until we are deprived of it.
That night I went outside and while passing way with our night watchman smiled at him and said ‘Thank you’. He smiled in reply and believe me that was the most satisfying smile I have ever seen or heard of. So, be thankful for what you have. Try being grateful and you would be the happiest person who ever lived. Be grateful for what you have, be grateful for what you did, be grateful for the air you breathe. Just Be grateful.
